About Me

Hi! Thank you for visiting my web journal. I would like to share a glimpse of the glory and beauty of God’s creation with you. I have always been fascinated with photography. For the past 20+ years I have made a career as a photographer for retail advertising. About 9 years ago I started photographing the wild horses of the Pryor Mountains of Montana. The beauty of the mountain range and grace of the horses took my breath away. And it still does. I can’t help but go back time and again to see the beautiful wild horses that I have come to know and love.

I don’t know where I would be today if I had not accepted Jesus Christ as my savior when I was 16 years old. I had gone through some depressing years thinking there has to be more to life than this. I was able to see one of my friends living her life for Christ and I could see the pure joy in her life that only Christ could give. I knew I wanted that kind of peace, love and joy in my own life.

So, on April 24, 1984, I took a leap of faith and I asked Jesus to come and live in my heart. The Bible tells us that God loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John3:16) Have you been searching? Do you want to know Jesus? Please ask Him into your heart today. He will change your life for all eternity.

Please contact me if you would like to know more about God’s plan of salvation. He can change your life like He has changed mine.

  1. Dear Deb,

I knew I had found a speial place when I came upon your blog with the scripture reference and referring to facing fears and trusting God. My husband and I too are believers, having received the Lord over 30 yrs. ago. It seemed by divine appointment that we found our way to the Pryor range during a trip out West in 2003. Somehow we persevered up that rocky Burnt Timber “road” and were rewarded by the incredible sight of several bands, including Cloud’s at the water hole. We watched from behind trees, hardly breathing. From that moment on, I have been passionate about these horses and the mountain. We returned the next year but haven’t been back since. Hopefully next year. We are trusting God for each day as my husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a year ago. by God’s grace and mercy he is doing well and has been covered with much prayer.

I have had the blessing of meeting Ginger twice, once in Pittsburgh in April and more recently in Washington for “Mustangs on the Hill”. I have been pursuing contacts as I can and hoping and praying for a change for the better for our mustangs.

I salute you and your committment to Image and Ember.I can only imagine what it must have been like to travel out there and witness the horror of the roundup. And now you have part of Cloud with you!

Thanks for your inspiring words and photos. I live in southern NJ and adopted a standardbred mare from the retirement foundation.

    Grace and peace, Judy Cassario

  2. Dear Deb, It had been quite a while since I checked out your web site, but I looked at the pix again tonight, and noticed the journal. Wow! I had seen the PBS episodes years ago, about Cloud and his band. Jennie had told me some time ago that you were going to adopt a couple of Mustangs, but I had no idea they were from Cloud’s family! That’s so wonderful! I love how you put your testimony into your sites, and God has so richly blessed you and Terry. I am sure this was a dream come true for you both. If you get a chance, e-mail me, and I will look forward to your journal posts.
Love and prayers, Lois, Larry & family

  3. Hi Deb,

    • Hi Donna,
I am so sorry I am so far behind in updating this journal on the kids. They are doing very well! I am in the process of writing a new post now and hope to have it posted in the next couple of days.

Thank you for your interest in the kids!
      deb

  4. DEAR DEBBIE,

IT WAS ONLY NOW THAT I HAVE READ YOUR CHRISTIAN TESTIMONY—-AND YOU HAVE HAD A SISTER IN CHRIST WITH ME!
MAY WE IN CHRIST CONTINUE TO SPEAK OUT ABOUT OUR FAITH AND CONTINUE TO PRAISE HIM IN OUR LIVES.

YOU SEE, DEB, I JUST LOST MY HUSBAND. THE PEACE OF MY SAVIOR HAS BEEN WITH ME. I AM SO GRATEFUL TO HIM AND MY LORD GOD, AS I CARED FOR BOB AT HOME, PER BOB’S (HUSBAND) REQUEST AND OUR DOCTORS’ KNOWLEDGE AND COOPERATION, WHEN BOB WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO TRAVEL. I THANK OUR LORD GOD FOR HIS GIFT OF JESUS AS I DO FOR OUR SAVIOR PREPARING A PLACE FOR HIS OWN.

PLEASE CONTINUE YOUR MAGNIFICENT GIFT OF PHOTOGRAPHY, ESPECIALLY REGARDING THOSE SPECIAL HORSES HE HAS ALLOWED YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND TO HAVE. AND KEEP THE WONDERFUL DOCUMENTATION OF THEIR “HAPPENINGS” COMING OOUR WAY.

    IN CHRIST, CINDY, NEW JERSEY
